Neil, I love the description of your sanctuary- it sounds very similar to mine, your home where you can absorb the peaceful environment & enjoy all creatures in it. Interesting read. I wouldn’t mind if we collectively moved on from evoking the self-righteous vegetarian as a device, though. Sanctimoniousness abounds on all sides, and I think it always pretty much comes from the same place, no matter the details of how it expresses itself.

Would the consent of the ‘fixed object’ in this case affect the analysis at all?Ultimately, even if a judge decided that the person receiving the tattoo did have some input simply by consenting to the tattoo, it seems like the test from the Malcom X case would be unkind to them. The tattoo artist is probably the one with the singular vision akin to the movie director, preventing the wearer of the tattoo from being a co-author.

Don't like music when I'm writing, but I can put up with it – in cafes, say. In which case, I prefer it if the music has no lyrics. Unless they are playing Blonde on Blonde (Bob Dylan), as they often do in my local Starbucks, in which case I don't care (because I love the album).
One more thing. You titled it: "Latest from Your Subscriptions" but it is NOT the latest.. is shows videos from weeks ago in some instances. It should SHOW THE LATEST videos from your subscriptions… ie: ones just uploaded. Otherwise it will be REALLY hard for people with even a lot of subscribers to let their subscribers know that they have a new video uploaded unless it randomly shows that video.. and that is not good. Most of the activity of a video occurs in the first 48 hours.. and a lot of videos are timely.. like the one I did today on Leap Year.Thanks.

made these over the weekend, and i LOVED the cupcake and frosting, but i thought the ganache made them soggy. (i still ate them, mind you!). unlike the chocolate ganache i’ve worked with, the butterscotch didn’t thicken up, which i think would have helped the sog factor. at any rate, i’ll be making these again, just skipping the ganache step. thanks for the recipe!
