Somehow I missed May, June, July, August, and September.. so nothing changed it seems – but I am here now! Lots of stuff has happened, but also a lot of the same..
Minecraft has been a big thing still for both myself and my daughter. We have a few worlds on our Realms. My forever Survival World just went past 2,500 days today! I also have a RealismCraft world with almost 100 days that has been fun to do all the new stuff. My Hardcore world has been somewhat sitting (as I almost died a few times, so I went back to my survival for more practice haha). Trying to figure out how to stream from Olivia’s iPad better – but the AirPlay seems to be somewhat working (though kinda meh overall). Eventually we may try to make some videos, but for now we are just enjoying playing.
The new set of chicks are all grown up and laying eggs! They have been some great and consistent producers! We have been getting a ton of eggs overall, and even have been able to offer some to friends and family! We had a scare with a giant racoon trying to get into the coop, but luckily we made it very predator proof. That racoon tried REALLY hard to get into the coop and was not successful! Made me happy to see that we built a safe space for them. The run is only predator “deterrent” so we’ve had a few critters squeezing through the fencing to steal some food and water. This has just been a baby skunk and a baby opossum so far. Both are now too big to fit through the fence so they haven’t been coming back. I even installed some lights and tried some other items to try to keep them away. Hoping it’s never a problem.
Pokémon card wise – I have been growing my Eevee collection. I have over 200 unique Eevee cards now. So many to go to get my master English collection. I won’t be able to master all the languages, but I am still collecting any I can come across. I might have to work on a better way to track them, the spreadsheet I made is kind of clunky – might have to write a full on app and get fancy. League wise both Post Board and MRC have grown. The tournaments have been fun, and midnight prerelease has been great. We have another one coming up at the end of the month on Halloween (maybe I will go as Snorlax to play). I am growing as a professor, and need to wrap up my last few certifications. I might try to apply for a regional here soon to give that a shot.
Other game wise.. I downloaded the Black Ops 7 open beta.. played a few matches.. and that thing got an uninstall. Games are huuuuge these days (way too big). I am also not a fan of how Call of Duty does their launcher / updater. It’s so much load / update / restart / loop through menus.. not a great user experience. Other games – I have played a bit of Class of Clans again – but that is super casual when I am really bored.
Pokémon GO got a revamp on levels with the new cap being 80, and redid how levels scale. I was trying to get as close to 50 before the switch and capped out at 47. When the new levels hit I was auto sent to 70 where the tasks are back. Currently working on my 999 nice throws to get to level 71. My item space SUCKS getting so many rewards. So I haven’t spun any stops since leveling as I work through as many items as I can. I will probably have to delete at least another 500 to get there though.
Halloween is coming up so soon! I went overboard for the kiddos and spent over $100 on candy alone from Costco. Then I have various card items to hand out, and random swag from events and collection boxes. The kiddos are going to remember my house as the awesome one! I had to retire our light up Zombie hands and blinking eyes. I grew up with those decorations with my parents house every year. They were seeming like a fire hazard when we set them up (burning plastic smell – oof), so getting rid of those sadly. We did get some cute ghosts and spooky skulls to at least have some stuff out there. I really want to step up the decor game.
For Lil’ Oak Adventures I have been failing to edit a video for a long time. I should take the hit and just wrap that one up. Olivia asked if she could learn how to record and edit video which I thought was cool. I am going to have to teach her how to do that thing and get her going. She is super creative and awesome.
I am sure I could keep rambling on various topics, but I want to actually get this posted before it becomes November. Maybe one day I will get better about writing on here, but I have at least been good about doing my paper journal again. I have been trying to write almost every morning, and some random times. It has been good to do that thing.. I should try to at least make my monthly blog posts here though. Hope everyone has an awesome and safe Halloween! I will try to post again soon.
